British gents everywhere must think they’ve finally died and gone to heaven upon hearing that Edward Green and Hardy Amies have collaborated on a footwear collection for this season. Described as “The meeting of two quintessentially English companies that pride themselves on quality and style”, classic models have been redone in an elegant mix of blues, greys, and burgundys to match Amies’ AW collection.

well, I knew Hardy Amies had let the standards slip a little, but to slum it with the New Edward Green? They must be doing it really tough to be seen walking down the road with the likes of contemporary Edward Green, the recently fallen angel of conservative classical English class, quality and style. Has nobody visited the Jermyn Street store lately?
They treat their customers like they treat those horribly gaudy new shoes, cheap, nasty and anything but English.
It is upsetting to see such a classical English quality icon being wiped and flushed down the Crapper like this.
