Japan’s Comme Des Garcons and Junya Watanabe have come together on these duck boots for SS 2012. In a silhouette reminiscent of the classic LL Bean duckie, which saw a huge resurgence last winter, these all weather boots make walking in the rain an absolute pleasure.
They have a canvas upper, which significantly reduces their bulkiness and a contrast white lining. The stand out detail on these however, has to be the exaggerated gum sole. It literally looks like it is trying to eat the rest of the shoe. Nevertheless, it will certainly turn heads and set them apart from everyone else’s galoshes next season.
In many different colourways and combinations, the Comme Des Garcons X Junya Watanabe Duck Boots will be available closer to 2012.
