Today visvim has released its new Armiger-Folk boots from its Fall/Winter 2012 Collection. Available in overall three colorways, the boots feature a premium vegetable-tanned Horween cowhide upper. Much easier to wear than many other visvim boots, due to its classic appeal, the new Armiger-Folk boots are exclusive to visvim’s own F.I.L. retail stores.
To finish off a fantastic 2012 for both outfits, Canadian retailer Haven and designer of his day Mark McNairy have teamed up on a Holiday 2012 offering. Made up of three silhouettes: the ‘Derby Cap Toe Boot’, the ‘Country Brogue Boot’, and the ‘Army Grain Derby Shoe’, the collection is tight but refined and perfect for finishing off the year. The Derby Cap Toe Boot is an update take on last year’s offering, featuring a black suede upper contrasted with a navy leather toecap and heel stripe. The Country Brogue Boot features a brogue-patterned heel cap and matching heel strip. The Army Grain Derby Shoe gets a distinctly streetwear look, using a pebbled army leather upper contrasted with a white Vibram Cristy sole and yellow storm welt. All three items are now available at Haven’s Online Shop.
SILENT, the more casual arm of Parisian label Damir Doma has released this black ‘Samaris’ boot for Fall/Winter 2012. In keeping with this philosophy, the label’s designs are devoid of needless embellishment, focusing instead on simple silhouettes and usage of materials. The Samaris Boot is an avant-garde ankle boot silhouette crafted from smooth leather and sheepskin lining, all atop a black wedge sole.
The limited-edition Garbstore x Grenson collection for Fall/Winter 2012 features a monkstrap shoe reworked in Navy and Mushroom calf leather suede and English crepe soles. The High Leg Boot, meanwhile, provides a little more protection from seasonal elements with an 8-eyelet silhouette , its uppers constructed from luxury calf leather suede and a calf heel panel. Elsewhere, a hand-cut welted sole provides durability and a dose of traditional style. As always, both footwear options are benchmade by hand in Northampton, England.
After introducing a BAPE STA Wingtip for the season, Mr. Bathing Ape and Regal introduce a collaborative brogue for Fall/Winter 2012. Featuring a predominately black leather upper with smooth white leather appearing on the quarter panels, toe box and tongue, the shoes see black BAPE starburst branding while Regal branding appears on the brown leather footbed. Retailing for $4,899 HKD (approximately $632 USD), the special edition brogue is now available in-store from I.T in Hong Kong.

visvim have just released a new colorway of its Virgil Boot from the brands 2012 fall/winter lineup. A F.I.L. exclusive, the Virgil Boot Crepe-Folk sports a distressed rich brown leather upper with gold eyelet and grommet detailing. Built atop a thick crepe sole, the shoe offers both comfort and protection for the impending winter months. Priced at ¥72,000 JPY (approximately $1,015 USD), the boots can be found at visvim’s web store and F.I.L. retail locations.

Created by Complete Technique – Osamu Koyama – the artist lovingly sketches, molds and creates a final product that blends fashion with high art. A huge selection of footwear for Fall Winter 2012 via Ateliers Heschung, the French company’s origins best understood through this beautiful collection of vintage adverts. Their workshop has been churning out well-built boots and shoes since 1934, a history of creating ski and walking footwear, elements of both are still present in their sleeker present day designs. Expect to find Vibram soles, calfskin leather, tough arpin wool and hand-stitching. No surprise to hear they’ve collaborated with the likes of Comme des Garcons and Yuketen. Find them here.
