Coinciding with the relaunch of their Madison Avenue Shop, Florsheim previewed some of their Spring 2013 pieces for their ‘Florsheim Limited’ and ‘Florsheim by Duckie Brown’ offshoots. True to form, the pieces are interpreted versions of classics; most notably a dress shoe featuring a rainbow sprinkle-like tonal upper and a lace-up boot with some of the most intricate detailing we’ve ever seen.
The Florsheim by Duckie Brown collaboration continues to bear fruit with this stunning Autumn/Winter 2012 offering. Designers Daniel Silver and Steven Cox re-imagine the traditional Florsheim boots and shoes with a focus on “disheveled, but elegant tone for the season, the collection reinterprets formal footwear and core styles… for the man who cares.” For us the “Beaded Brogue” is the definite show-stealer, what do you guys like?
If we can make any one observation about Florsheim and Duckie Brown’s footwear collection for Spring / Summer 2012, it would be that it’s most certainly not boring. A wild display of bold colors give the collection life, while the daring hues are spread equally amongst all types of shoes; saddle shoes, brogues, laceless lace-ups, boots, and mocs all get a piece of the fun.
