From its spring / summer 2010 collection comes this Patrician Plain Toe-Folk from Visvim. The uppers are suede and styled as a classic dress shoe, yet the sole shows off its roughshod walking shoe roots. Welted brick Vibram soles give this shoe more in common with Timberlands, making them comfortable and wearable for those long walks. Available in black, white, and sand.
As part of Visvim’s spring/summer collection for this year, they’ve released a fittingly titled moccasin: the ‘Maliseet Shaman-Folk’. Coming in a wide variety of colorways, Visvim’s new lowtop shoe is comprised of an entirely suede upper a fringed cuff and some detailing on the toe. What sets Visvim’s offering apart is that it begins from a well constructed dress shoe and incorporates some Native-American styling, rather than taking a traditional moccasin and adding poor ingredients.
