For the 2013 campaign Pointer Footwear wanted to explore light, shadow, reflections and all the spaces in-between.
The campaign involved two processes: Models were initially photographed against blank, white studio backgrounds.
Once printed, these two-dimensional, “flat” photos were then re-shot in the studio, using lighting and sheets of coloured perspex to physically “build” the images up and out, to create an added sense of dimension and perspective. The resulting images often feel quite abstract – a playful mix of the accidental and intentional
Japanese-based label hobo expands their Spring/Summer 2013 offerings with some new footwear silhouettes. Consisting of three new models, the offering features a pair of oiled leather deck shoes with metal eyelets, leather laces and a woven midsole. An interpretation of a classic Desert Boot is well done, with d-link eyelets, crepe sole, leather lining and a lightly distressed suede upper. Lastly, hobo offers a pair of leather sandals that feature a chunky braided thong, buckle closure system and substantial sole. Expect these to land at hobo retailers worldwide in the coming weeks.
A new silhouette is given to the Spring/Summer 2012 collection from French footwear brand Bagua. Uppers consisting of suede, denim canvas, tumbled leather and mesh give the plimsoll and chukka-inspired footwear a varied look, all the while keeping the same slimmed down, minimalist approach it had before. Japanese boutique Beauty & Youth will be releasing the 3Eye Boat Moccasins for their Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Arriving in blue, brown and black colorways, the shoes incorporates both a boat shoe and a moccasin, producing an assortment of trendy footwear that can be worn near the water or on the streets.
Y-3 releases the Honja Low Top in a denim canvas upper for this season and is paired with leather trim around the toe and bronze leather contrasts. Featuring a discrete internal lacing, the sneaker remains sleek and composed. The Y-3 will be available now at various Y-3 retailers.
