Independent footwear brand Zuriick, is making some noise in the shoe world with their Beata model. It’s a Chukka / Desert Boot fusion with a rubberized cup sole. It comes in a variety of colourways for the summertime. Available now at all Zuriick retailers.
Oliver Spencer’s Spring / Summer 2011 Collection has some pictures online. Most of it is shoes, included a Chukka shoe in green suede and maroon suede which are expected to be flying off shelves. Even included are some coats that go well with the shoes. The shoes are a great sneaker Chukka fusion to be wearing on hot days.
Maine-based Quoddy continues its creation of quality hand-made footwear with a preview of upcoming shoes for Spring / Summer 2011. The collection features diverse styles including a Beefroll loafer, Canoe moc, Chukka boot, and Ring boot. All of them use earthy colours with arch support footbeds, adding extra comfort.
Japanese label visvim continues to release more footwear in their boot style in the MOC-TOE FOLK. Styled after traditional workwear mixed with visvim designs, the MOC-TOE FOLK comes in a variety of colours based on the original VIRGIL style. The sand colourway uses camel leather upper while all the rest use cowhide as their main material. Available now for pre-order online.

The shoes themselves are the usual quality pieces by the brand, but punched up with a kaleidoscope of bright colors and contrast details.
Alden gets the preview treatment with this look at its forthcoming spring / summer 2011 collection. Traditionalism dominates here, with polished leather brogues and boots, soft suede desert boots, and the quality craftsmanship that makes Alden a name to know.
Italian shoemakers Tod’s are featured in this month’s issue of GQ for their spring / summer 2011 preview. There are several cuts and designs planned in many different colorways and designs, from the trendy boat shoe to the classic low-cut sneaker. The variety of materials used also range from patent leather to suede and leather. This is only a preview, stay tuned for when more pictures and samples are released later on.
Yuketen has their 2011 Spring/Summer footwear preview in the latest issue of GQ. The line suggests new and interested designs and colours to be played with for their line next summer. Eclectic prints and laser designs engraved into the quality leather, has us thinking that next summer could be a big one for Yuketen.
