Vans kicks off spring by bringing denim to the uppers of some of our most popular silhouettes. The Suede/Denim editions of the Era and Sk8-Hi add some style to our skate shoe champions, pairing standard suede construction with crispy hits of denim at each quarter panel. An additional offering of Acid Denim colorways is exclusive to the Era and channels the grunge vibe of the ‘90s with acid washed uppers. French label Pierre Hardy releases a bold new colorway of the already distinct “Side-Zip” silhouette for Spring/Summer 2013. Drawing off a classic high-top, Pierre Hardy gives the silhouette a more contemporary remake with high-fashion elements. Constructed from a high-grade tan leather, the shoe’s appearance is dominated by the presence of a hot pink zipper running along the exterior of the shoe. Other elements include cushioned ankle support, a high ankle strap and metallic eyelets. Pierre Hardy’s Side Zip sneaker is available now at Japanese retailer RESTIR for around $600 USD.
Nike attempts to cure your winter blues with a version of their Solarsoft Moccasin in an “Atomic Teal” colorway. Mixing a braided suede upper with hits of dark grey on the heel and lining, the entire look is rounded out with a Solarsoft foam sole that blends nicely with the lighter-than-air look of the sneaker. Expect to see the Nike Solarsoft Moccasin “Atomic Teal” at select retailers in the coming weeks.
New Balance releases a video that walks viewers through the step-by-step process of shoe production at its Flimby, England factory. The pair of shoes seen in the video are the New Balance 577 “Farmers’ Market” sneakers, which feature tonal green suede and tweed interior, a reflection of its rural England origins.
Our Legacy hacve introduced this impressive, updated version of their derby shoe most notably with the wedge crepe sole being replaced with a natural storm welt and double leather sole. Check out this new release from Vans in collaboration with Primitive apparel. This Cable Knit Half Cab sneaker is a unique release in that it is all about the details. The shoe was constructed using high quality pig suede with cable knit detailing on the heel collar and top tongue – all in full grey colorway.
