Folk Clothing gives us a very deep look into its men’s Folk Spring/Summer 2010 footwear. The very comprehensive collection includes a number of both casual and formal shoes, including desert boots, chukka’s, oxford’s and a host of other designs. The stand out feature of the collection seems to be the high grade materials used, from colorful suede’s and leathers to simple canvas’s, available are also designs containing mixture of materials. Dr. Martens releases its Spring/Summer 2010 catalog, and inside we get a good impression of the feel of the collection. Consisting predominantly of the popular eight eyelet boot in interesting new colors we get an immediate understanding of the direction the English label wanted to take. From soft tones to more extreme hues the vastness and diversity of the collection provides for a large selection. What caught my eyes were the rose patterned boots coming in three different styles, as well as the black, brown and grey mids.
Rachel Comey‘s spring / summer 2010 collection has something for the dandy in all of us, in the form of this ‘Keene’ oxford. Little details like the tan leather trim set off the white leather uppers and classic tan soles perfectly. France’s Gourmet gets set to release its 2010 Spring collection. A large collection consisting of about 8 different shoes, with three brand new models including the eight models, the Tre, Diciotto, Dicinove, with the Uno, Quattro, Cinque, Nove, Quadici. The new Pierre Hardy – Spring/Summer 2010 Footwear collection has just been released. Not straying to far from previous footwear collection, in terms of style, this new effort tries to recreate the ”simplicity” and edginess of last years very successful Nubuckorama jump offs. This time, however, there is greater selection of style including a white hi-top with blue and red leather piping. This same design also comes in all grey, black and navy suede. There is also a modified desert boot that comes in navy and grey with a tapered toe and a more fitting ankle.
As of recently we have been seeing a trend towards moccasin footwear. Pointer continues the phenomenon with their Pointer Spring/Summer 2010 Saha & Tanju collection. The Saha is a leather moccasin boat shoe and the Tanju a penny loafer-esque kind of shoe. On each shoe is a combination of materials and colorways used including suede and leather with such color combinations as navy/light brown/dark brown and white/brown.
