Though not released to the public yet, these sharp watershoes by Opening Ceremony and Timberland have been spotted on the feet of OC co-founder Humberto Leon. A unique wave-tip gives these shoes a real sense of life and energy, while the beautiful blue detailing on the uppers make these a real attention-grabber.
Recently, Timberland has seen a resurgence in popularity, recapturing its position as one of America’s leader in men’s footwear. This time we see Timberland joining forces with retailer Saks Fifth Avenue to create the Timberland for Saks Fifth Avenue Handsewn Boat Shoe Collection.Constructed from high grade suede and leathers, the shoes are available in seasonal colors including green, purple, orange, and blue. These will be sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Footwear masters Timberland has teamed up with rag & bone to release this brilliant collaborative collection for the fall 2010 season. Featuring a Chukka, a Chelsea boot and a lace-up boot, this collection combines Timberland’s sturdy boot construction with rag & bone’s keen sense of style. Each shoe comes in two colorways and will hit shelves later this year.
Timberland’s new Fall 2010 collection is a fresh twist on Timberland’s initiative. We’re all used the the traditional 6 inch with the padded ankle with the thick sole; but this new Fall collection brings us some new editions. First is the Counterpane Chukka Boat Shoe with a unique toe, next is the Tackhead Surveyor Cap Toe with a very thick inner. Lastly, we find ourselves looking at a beautiful pair of 6 inch Colrain Reissue’s. For the Counterpane’s and Tackhead’s, you’re looking at $325, and for the Colrain’s’ they will retail at $400. Make sure you buy yours at Nordstrom’s, Barney’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Kitson, Fred Segal, American Rag, and Bloomingdale’s.
White Mountaineering and Timberland have joined forces for a strong and rugged 7-eye hiker. The firm white outsole is perfect for tackling rough terrain and the zippered back makes for an easy escape if you get stuck in between “a rock…and a rock” or your feet are especially tired. The heavy suede and metal loopholes make for a tough shoe that you can hit the baddest of lands in. Enjoy.
Stussy and Timberland have come together again and this time for a soft and warm Chukka boot. The soft, low-nap suede gives the boot a sleek feel even though the shoe is quite well-padded. The low-nap suede also makes this boot easy to maintain and wear. You always feel like you can’t go anywhere in a really “suedey” boot, but this boot will take you anywhere you want to go.
Opening Ceremony has a new (and exclusive) Timberland Collection that have been customized to perfection using unique products and old school sensibility.
The “convenience” boot is a take on the Classic Timberland (the one you see on every street corner and mall.) The difference here is the elastic band that acts a lace. This streamlines the boot and gives it a more modern feel. Choose from the piercing stone color or the classic “wheat” to match every casual outfit in your wardrobe.
Alongside “convenience” we have a boot made in the style of a moccasin. Seven metal loopholes, oil-tanned leather, and two different sets of laces compliment this boot that can pose as a “deck-shoe-in-disguise”, a moccasin, or a boot (in black and brown.) You pick the occasion.
The Opening Ceremony x Timberland collaboration has done the world good. Timberlands served for many years as a simple and classic footwear line that yielded a style like no other. However, with a bold move, the collaboration has left us with an updated and mature look. The Timberland name has been revamped and reengineered with a sophisticated moccasin boat shoe that makes sense at work or at the bar, and a solid slip-on shoe that uses changeable elastic laces. The Opening Ceremony x Timberland collaboration brings new life to a classic, and reminds us that sometimes a change to a classic piece of fashion just might cement that piece in the annals of time.
