THE SHOE BUFF

Men's Contemporary Shoes, Boots, and Sneakers

About

TheShoeBuff is an independent men’s footwear publication in the Everyguyed network. We focus on shoes, boots and sneakers, bringing together a retained footwear archive and practical guides to fit, construction and care.

Start with the decision you need to make

Visit our boot guides for an at-home fit checklist, an introduction to common construction methods and a straightforward leather-care routine. The guides are intended to help you ask better questions about the particular pair you are considering—not to replace a fitting, a maker’s instructions or a repairer’s assessment.

Reading the archive

Older articles record releases, collaborations and editorial views from their original publication periods. Historical prices, retailer links and availability are not current shopping guarantees. Archive photographs are retained as references; they do not authenticate a second-hand listing or establish its present condition.

Our editorial approach

When we substantively refresh an article, we integrate corrections into the relevant prose and acknowledge the changes at the end, retaining its original publication date in that note. Original contributor credits are preserved where the historical record is available. Missing author information is not replaced with an invented identity.

We distinguish sourced specifications from opinion and do not imply hands-on testing, current stock or expert review unless those claims are supported. Some older entries still await review. Follow the current model-specific information and the seller’s terms before buying.

This About page was updated on 14 October 2026 to describe the publication’s current archive-and-guide approach. The original site introduction was published on 9 December 2009.
