Original archive report

A new version of the SKAGWAY DENIM HI will soon be released. This version features a white canvas upper with highlights of gray over the laces. The high-top will be available with the other three models this Friday at select visvim dealers.
What this SKAGWAY archive identifies
The original April 2010 report describes a white canvas high-top with grey detailing over the laces. “DENIM” in a model name should not be treated as proof of the material of every panel; the archive’s stated material and the actual shoe both deserve checking.
Resale checks for this release
- Request clear photographs of the label, tongue, lining, heel and outsole. Confirm whether the seller is offering the pictured HI release rather than a similarly named low-top or later version.
- Inspect pale fabric for staining, uneven yellowing, fraying and signs of an aggressive cleaning attempt. Ask whether repairs or replacement laces have been fitted.
- Check sole attachment around the toe and heel, and ask about storage. An unworn older shoe can still have age-related material problems.
Photographs can help establish consistency, but this archive is not an authentication certificate. If authenticity is central to the purchase, use a seller with a clear return policy and an appropriate specialist verification process.
Fit and care
Try the actual pair with the socks you intend to wear; do not infer fit from a modern SKAGWAY listing. Establish the panel materials before cleaning and test any product discreetly. For separate advice on boots, our practical boot guides cover fit, construction and leather care.
