How do they figure that’s a balmoral? Open laces = derby, closed laces = balmoral…. or am I missing something?
It’s just another aspect of the continuing decline in standards for men’s fashion language – like the use of ‘button down’ to refer to any button front shirt. We try to catch these things, but sometimes they simply slip by. It’s good to know that there are people out there who still care about the difference between an oxford and an derby, though!
