Clae is a very new, fresh, and creative brand with many great silhouette’s. These Ellington’s are an all black leather upper, and white rubber sole. The sneakers have four eyelets for lacing, somewhat of a “chukka” upper near the eyelets, heel tab, and perforated toe box. These will be at retailers soon, so watch out.

Givenchy Spring/Summer 2010 Sneakers
Being unorthodox in fashion, can truly also mean being an innovator. Spring/Summer 2010 is coming up, and the competition for revolutionary footwear is heated; I can honestly say Givenchy’s footwear for the season is battling for the top spot in creativity. The sneakers come in a low-top cut right below the ankle, and a super high-top that runs all the way to the middle of your shin. The sneakers come in the regular white and black leather colorway, but also in a very vibrant metallic gold patent leather colorway; that you won’t see from other designers. The other interesting thing on these sneakers is the mid-foot straps, and void in material on the super high-tops; not to mention a very stylish gum sole. These may not be for everyone, but if you do rock these; you will easily stand out in a crowd.

Gourmet Sedici
The Sedici’s from Gourmet aren’t we have seen in the past few seasons, but that’s the beauty of Gourmet; their constant change and creativity. The Sedici’s are Gourmet’s newest piece of footwear, and feature inner lacing, a ribbed ankle, and a heel tab. The outsole is larger than what were used to from Gourmet, and look vulcanised with the “NFN” tab on the toe. Right now, the colorway is all black and beige canvas with a white out sole. Maison Martin Margiela Spring/Summer 2010 Sneakers Sneak Peek
The brand that we all know and love gives us a sneak peek into what the Spring/Summer of 2010 will hold. Maison Martin Margiela, the iconic brand, unveils two of their new sneakers for the S/S season (the velcro triple strapped sneaker is a previous shoe, just in a new colorway). First, we find ourselves looking at a forest green and gumsole, velcro triple strap trainer; this pair is one of my favorites the brand has ever made. But what really catches your eye, is a pair of low top sneakers doused in paint, and chipped to give off that iconic deconstructed fashion look we have come accustomed to seeing from Martin Margiela and his team (well, now since Margiela left; we are used to seeing from his team). Dior Homme High Top Sneakers for Spring 2010
Kris Van Assche and the people at Dior Homme bring us their high top’s for Spring 2010. Now if you can remember, these were previewed months back, and look much like some of the Kris Van Assche brand high tops as well; that’s a perk of being a creative director and having your own brand. These high tops come in either black, beige, white, or a light gray; all with a white sole. Kris Van Assche has been known to love high tops, and create very interesting kinds of sneakers. If you look at the lacing, it comes from the back of the ankle, and pulls around and ties at the top of the tongue; which also means the laces will be much longer than usual. Not to mention, the shoes include a zipper heading from the ankle to the heel. Kris Van Assche and Dior Homme have simply outdone themselves with these sneakers.

eYe Junya Watanabe CDG and New Balance 576 Sneaker
Comme des Garcons’ beloved designer has hit the ground running this month with a couple very creative collaborations (The designer did one with Carhartt earlier). Featured here are his collaborative shoes with New Balance; I present to you Mr. Watanabe’s New Balance 576’s. Based off of the perennial Red Wing work boot concept, Junya went with the traditional burgundy premium leather, yellow/burgundy laces, white outsole, and lastly; the off yellow gumsole. Junya and New Balance created a special edition sneaker that completely embodies beauty and resilience.
